Collections

Closed Collection

The Closed Collection, launched in 1994, is designed for durability and sustainability. Each shoe has a removable sole and insole, making it easy to replace and extend its lifespan.

Made with an anatomically shaped cork insole covered in vegetable-tanned calf leather, the shoes provide natural comfort. The rubber soles are sewn instead of glued, allowing them to be detached, renewed, and reused.

The Closed Collection reflects trippen’s commitment to long-lasting, repairable, and eco-friendly footwear.

Cup Collection

The Cup Collection, introduced in 1998, is designed to recreate the feeling of walking barefoot. These ergonomic shoes offer a modern look with an exceptionally light and comfortable fit.

The sole consists of two separate units that protect the heel and ball of the foot, while the soft and flexible upper enhances movement. The thick, vegetable-tanned leather insole is molded to support the arch and form the shoe’s structure.

A strong yarn stitches the rubber sole to the shoe, giving it a durable, handcrafted look. As an alternative, Cup designs are also available with a 100% natural crepe sole, aligning with sustainable fashion.

Penna Collection

The Penna Collection, introduced in 2003, was designed for maximum comfort, functionality, and a unique look while keeping production efficient and sustainable in Germany.

Inspired by moccasin construction, soft leather uppers are sewn onto flexible soles, reducing the need for solvent-based adhesives. The sole, shaped like a trampoline, absorbs shock without using additional foam. Over time, the foot naturally shapes its own insole within the felt layer beneath the leather sock.

The distinctive seams not only enhance the design but also provide structure without extra reinforcements. Each pair is handcrafted, making every shoe slightly unique.

x+os Collection

The x+os Collection, introduced in 2006, is named after its distinctive sole design, which features a cross and two oval shapes. A narrow wedge in the middle keeps the shoe lightweight, while the cross under the heel provides stability. The two ovals at the front follow the natural shape of the foot, offering support to the ball and toes for added comfort.

With a 4.5 cm high sole, the x+os collection builds on the Penna series but has a more refined and feminine look. This added height enhances the silhouette while maintaining trippen’s signature ergonomic design.

A defining feature of the collection is its raw exterior seams, which provide both structural stability and a handcrafted aesthetic. These visible seams highlight the craftsmanship behind each pair, making the x+os collection a perfect balance of function, comfort, and style.

Happy Collection

The Happy collection, introduced in 2008, combines the elegance of high heels with comfort and functionality. Featuring an 8 cm high platform heel, the innovative rubber sole provides height without sacrificing stability or ease of wear.

The sole is sewn to the upper with thick yarn, reducing the need for solvent-based adhesives. Made from durable, flexible, and recyclable rubber, the design ensures longevity while maintaining an eco-friendly approach.

A specially developed internal structure stabilizes the sole, while carefully placed air chambers keep the shoes lightweight and enhance shock absorption. The Happy collection offers a perfect blend of style, comfort, and sustainability.

Box Collection

The Box collection, introduced in 2008, focuses on creating a modern platform sole with a distinctive design. The walking surface is reduced to two cubes, giving the shoes a bold and sculptural look while maintaining stability and comfort.

The rubber soles are sewn to the upper with thick yarn instead of being glued. This construction allows the seam between the sole and the upper to be easily unraveled, making repairs and replacements simple.

Embedded air chambers and the flexible rubber material provide excellent shock absorption, while the full-grain leather insole stabilizes the structure and ensures a secure, comfortable fit.

Splitt Collection

The Splitt collection, introduced in 2012, was designed as a sporty winter alternative to the x+os collection. It features a modern wedge sole with a 6 cm heel, offering both height and comfort. Air chambers reduce weight, while gaps in the sole improve flexibility and create a smoother walking motion.

Inspired by winter road surfaces, the grained contact surface enhances grip, making the shoes more stable in colder conditions. The sole is made entirely of rubber, ensuring durability and traction.

Instead of using glue, the sole is sewn to the upper, eliminating the need for solvent-based adhesives. This mechanical construction makes it easy to remove and recycle worn soles, supporting a more sustainable design.

Gritt Collection

The Gritt collection, introduced in 2014, features a specially developed wedge sole that combines functionality, comfort, and the elegance of a heel. Designed in the tradition of the Closed collection, it offers the same durability and flexibility while introducing a more elevated silhouette.

Like the Closed collection, the rubber soles are sewn to an intermediate sole and the upper instead of being glued. This construction allows the soles to be easily detached and replaced, extending the life of the shoes.

All closed styles in the collection include an anatomically shaped cork insole, covered with vegetable-tanned calf leather for natural comfort. The shoes are available in both a regular and sanded-down version to suit different preferences.

Geisha Collection

The Geisha collection, introduced in 2018, takes the fusion of high heels, function, and comfort to a new level. With an 11 cm high sculptural platform sole, it builds on the ideas first explored in the Happy collection, offering both height and stability.

Despite its bold elevation, the broad platform provides secure support, making it comfortable to wear. The distinctive cubist sole is attached to the upper leather only at the front and back with thick yarn, leaving an open space in the middle that gives the shoe its unique aesthetic.

Balancing statement design with practical wearability, the Geisha collection redefines high-heeled footwear with a striking yet functional approach.

Swan Collection

The Swan collection, introduced in 2018, is defined by its undulating, curved sole, giving it a sporty yet minimalist aesthetic. The slightly offset contact surface and smooth, flowing lines create a graceful and modern look.

Designed for comfort, the collection features an insole made of vegetable-tanned leather, ensuring a natural feel and support for all-day wear.

With its blend of clean design and functional innovation, the Swan collection offers a fresh reinterpretation of trippen’s long-standing tradition of craftsmanship and creativity.

Sport Collection

The Sport collection, introduced in 2012, builds on the design of the Box sole with a focus on comfort and functionality. The sole is sewn, not glued, eliminating the need for solvent-based adhesives while ensuring durability.

Embedded air chambers reduce weight and provide shock absorption, while a full-grain leather insole stabilizes the structure for a secure and comfortable fit. The raised base helps prevent moisture from seeping in, making the shoes more practical for everyday wear.

The sole’s profile, created by cutting and reassembling standard rubber sheeting, enhances slip resistance while adding a unique design element. With its balance of innovation and practicality, the Sport collection offers a fresh take on athletic-inspired footwear.

Wave Collection

The Wave collection, introduced in 2016, builds on the design of the Cup collection with a refined, continuous sole. Like the Cup, the rubber soles are sewn to the upper instead of being glued, ensuring durability and reducing the need for adhesives.

The continuous sole design provides extra protection, preventing moisture from seeping in and making the shoes more practical for various conditions.

With its innovative sole profile, the Wave collection offers enhanced grip, combining functionality and comfort in a sleek, modern design.

Wood Collection

The Wood collection, introduced in 1991, combines traditional craftsmanship with modern design. Using locally sourced timber, each pair features uniquely shaped wooden soles paired with a variety of leather uppers, creating sculptural footwear that blends artistry with function.

The unlacquered wooden soles provide natural comfort, allowing the leather to gradually mold to the foot. The open surface of the wood lets the skin breathe and supports muscle regeneration, making the shoes both stylish and beneficial to foot health.

Inspired by architecture, art, politics, and fashion, the collection uses alder, beech, and poplar wood, carefully chosen based on the design. With each piece showcasing the natural grain of the wood, no two pairs are alike, making every shoe a one-of-a-kind creation.

t-Project Collection

The t-project collection embodies a spirit of experimentation and innovation, pushing the boundaries of traditional footwear design. With a focus on new materials, construction methods, and sustainable solutions, this collection serves as a platform for creative exploration.

Each design in the t-project collection challenges conventional shoemaking, often featuring unconventional shapes, unique textures, and forward-thinking functionality. The collection reflects a balance between artistry and practicality, introducing fresh ideas while maintaining comfort and wearability.

As an ongoing exploration, the t-project collection continues to evolve, redefining modern footwear through bold design and responsible craftsmanship.

Zero Collection

The Zero collection, introduced in 2019, replaces conventional rubber with natural rubber for a more sustainable approach. Designed as a barefoot shoe, its unique lines help prevent the rapid wear of crepe on the heel edge while maintaining a sleek and elegant look.

With a focus on eco-friendly innovation, the collection explores alternative natural materials for rubber while continuing to develop new sustainable solutions.

The crepe sole is available in two colors, natural and marble, offering both versatility and a refined aesthetic.

Kids Collection

The Kids collection, introduced in 2003, is designed specifically for children’s sensitive feet using high-quality materials and careful craftsmanship. Produced in Brandenburg, Germany, these shoes prioritize flexibility and comfort.

Unlike adult models, children’s shoes have no middle sole or insole. Instead, they feature soft crepe soles that are highly flexible, allowing for natural movement and proper foot development. The soles are sewn to the upper rather than glued, ensuring durability while avoiding harmful adhesives.

The shoes tend to run about one size larger than standard sizes. Ankle-high styles are available with either a leather lining or genuine sheepskin lining for extra warmth and comfort.

Bags

The Bags collection, introduced in 2006, started with a single design, the Trippen Bag, which is now available in three sizes. Over time, the collection has expanded to include more styles, offering a variety of practical and stylish options.

In 2013, the Trippen Bagpack was introduced as a variation of the original design. The collection has since grown to include the Shopper, X-Bag, Hexagon, and Snakebelt, a versatile fanny pack.

With a focus on functionality and modern design, the Bags collection continues to evolve, providing unique and well-crafted accessories.

Accessoires

The Accessories collection, introduced in 2010, was created as a way to repurpose leftover materials from shoe production. By creatively reusing these materials, the collection minimizes waste while adding unique design elements.

Each piece reflects the same commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability found in the shoes, turning surplus leather and other components into functional and stylish accessories.

With this approach, the collection not only reduces environmental impact but also gives new life to high-quality materials, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
